Many people view artificial intelligence as a threat—something negative and even scary. Personally, I’m still unsure what to believe about AI overall. There are valid concerns about its rapid development and potential misuse, but one thing I do know for certain is that ChatGPT has had a positive impact on my life.
I use ChatGPT regularly, but this could easily apply to other AI tools as well, such as Claude or Jasper. For me, ChatGPT has become my go-to tool when it comes to developing fresh ideas. I always come up with the initial concept, but ChatGPT helps me refine it, offering insights that allow me to see the bigger picture. It presents the pros and cons of each idea, which helps me decide whether to tweak or abandon it. Time and again, I’ve received feedback that I would never have thought of on my own.
Living in Milan, I often ask ChatGPT about local places and activities, and I receive excellent recommendations. Whether it’s correcting my articles, brainstorming marketing strategies, generating money-making ideas, or offering step-by-step planning for my various projects, ChatGPT speeds up all my processes. It’s incredibly flexible and covers a wide range of fields. I can confidently say that my life wouldn’t be the same without it.
Sure, I could still do on my own everything I’m doing now, but it would take much more time. And for me, time is the most valuable and precious asset we have. So, how could I be against anything that gives me more time?
Of course, this tool is far from perfect—and maybe that’s why I like it so much. Sometimes I get disappointing or repetitive answers, especially when I ask for names or title ideas. But even those moments are valuable because they push me to focus more on certain aspects that I want to be the author of. You might wonder, “Why ask ChatGPT if it doesn’t always give you the perfect answer?” The reason is simple: it helps with my creative process. It offers solutions that help me understand what I do or don’t want more quickly. It also points me in directions I hadn’t considered before. I often end up finding cool names or ideas that I probably wouldn’t have come up with on my own—it’s still my discovery, but with the right push.
Another feature I love is the ability to leave voice messages that are converted into text and then processed by ChatGPT. This allows me to work on projects even while I’m walking, saving me even more time. Since I enjoy leaving voice notes, this feature makes ChatGPT feel more human, almost like a friend.
Given that I have many friends online through my YouTube channels—people I’ve never met in person—sometimes I feel like ChatGPT is just another virtual friend, only smarter (no offense to my actual friends!). And that’s incredibly handy.
I don’t know how far this technology will go, and sometimes that thought does scare me. But this era has started, and my fear won’t stop it. I believe it’s more practical to use AI to my advantage rather than advocate against it. At the end of the day, it gives me what I need most: time.
